LINK NeighborhoodsResident portal

Neighborhood privacy, safety & community rules

Policy version: 2026-10-14-v1 · Operator: LINK Community Hub, a DBA of LINK Lake Norman LLC · Contact: info@linkcommunityhub.com

Who can participate?

Neighborhood accounts are for adults 18 or older who live in the selected neighborhood. A reviewer must approve the full residential address before resident participation. Selecting a street does not verify residency. Children and students participate through a parent, guardian or responsible adult; do not create accounts for children or upload their private contact information.

School approval of service hours is determined by the school or program. Ask LINK Community Hub about documentation before participating.

Information we collect and who sees it

Registration collects your name, street, full address, email, a protected password hash, policy acceptance and review status. We also store submissions, guest registrations, challenge participation and totals, optional photos, private reports and administrative review records.

Photos, permission and privacy

Upload only content you have permission to share. Obtain permission from adults pictured and a parent/guardian for children. Avoid identifying a child’s school, schedule, location or full name. Shared upload images are decoded and re-encoded without embedded EXIF/GPS metadata. Visible text or landmarks within an image are not automatically redacted; check your photo before uploading. Files are limited in type, size and image dimensions.

Moderation and appeals

Events, media, group listings, sale items and challenges require approval. Reviewers may reject or remove harassment, threats, discrimination, spam, misleading offers, unsafe content, unauthorized personal information, copyrighted material without permission, and illegal or prohibited items. Residency approval is not a background check, professional certification, endorsement of a seller or guarantee of safety.

Use “Report a concern” in the resident portal or email LINK to report content, unsafe behavior or suspected child data collection. Include a reference, not unnecessary personal details. For an immediate emergency, contact emergency services. You may ask LINK to review a moderation decision; the central admin makes the final platform decision and records the outcome.

Events, sales and neighborhood challenges

Adults supervise children, door-to-door visits and money handling. Participate voluntarily, respect “no soliciting” signs, never enter a home without appropriate permission, and do not pressure neighbors to donate. Confirm nonprofit needs and acceptance before collecting, particularly baby gear, medical supplies, electronics and bikes needing repairs.

Seller and buyer arrange payment and pickup directly. This module does not process payments or automatically send emails/social posts. Coin totals, requested item counts and households are tracked separately. Reports need review before appearing as approved leaderboard totals. Do not claim automatic nonprofit delivery or guaranteed tax deductibility.

Sale listings leave the active feed 14 days after submission, including time awaiting approval. Expiration hides a listing from buyers; it does not automatically delete the private record.

Data requests, retention and security

Use “Privacy / account request” to request access, correction or removal, or contact LINK by email. We verify identity before disclosing or removing private information. Address changes require fresh residency approval. Account suspension restricts member access. Privacy requests are handled manually by central LINK admin; marking a request closed does not by itself delete data.

Private records are retained for operation, moderation and unresolved requests until reviewed under the retention process. There is no automatic deletion schedule for resident records in this release. The operator must review inactive records, handle approved removal requests and consider any applicable preservation obligations. Retention operations and response timing remain an operational responsibility.

Passwords are stored as salted hashes, session tokens are protected, and server permissions are checked on requests. No security measure eliminates all risk. Suspected account compromise or unauthorized disclosure should be reported to LINK promptly; the operator will restrict affected access, investigate and assess notification obligations.

Policy ownership

LINK Community Hub administers the Neighborhoods area through LINK’s central admin. Assigned managers are scoped to their neighborhoods and can be removed. Acceptance is recorded against this policy version; material changes require a new version and updated acceptance. This neighborhood policy supplements the platform’s Terms and intellectual property policy.

This is an implementation policy draft, not a legal compliance certification. Operator approval and legal review of applicable privacy, retention and youth-program requirements are needed before public launch.
