Anyone under 13 requires parent/guardian approval before private membership proceeds. Under-13 individual public profiles and public photo/media submissions are blocked in the current portal. For ages 13–17, public youth media requires guardian-release confirmation and LINK Admin approval.

LINK connects participants. The offering organization and receiving partner coordinate fulfillment directly. Confirm current eligibility, approval and availability in the relevant portal. Keep completed worksheets containing private information off public pages.

What can you work toward?

Reviewed service hours, a record of projects and impact, nonprofit and business relationships, mentors, career exploration and internship opportunities. Demonstrated participation can support recommendation letters, leadership recognition and awards as those opportunities become available. Each opportunity has its own eligibility requirements; registration alone does not award a role, internship or recognition.

Schools and groups: give students a place to lead

Build a shared service goal, appoint student project leaders and work with local nonprofits. Students practice communication, planning, teamwork and follow-through while your school or group creates a lasting connection with the community.

In the student assessment, choose “Yes” to Ambassador follow-up and tell LINK where you would like to participate. Students under 16 need the required parent or guardian consent.

Choose your cause and confirm the nonprofit's actual need.
Agree on an adult contact, project leader, dates and goal.
Share a flyer and invite people to participate.
Confirm collection, delivery or volunteer signup instructions.
